PRESS RELEASE – Switzerland, January 26, 2024 – edisconet, a single-sign-on online ecosystem for multiple learning paths, is proud to announce its partnership with focus50plus, the esteemed network for employers under the patronage of the SWISS EMPLOYERS CONFEDERATION (SAV). As a service partner within focus50plus’ agile hub for employers, edisconet aims to transform learning and development in the workplace, enabling businesses to unlock the full potential of employees in the 50-plus age group.
“We warmly welcome edisconet as our newest service partner. At focus50plus, we recognize the importance of the enormous wealth of knowledge and expertise of seasoned employees in the market and are committed to deepening together with our member organizations the trialogue between business, science, and politics to ensure that these components can be anchored within the companies. edisconet is at the forefront of learning and collaboration developments. Their platform allows easy capturing, structuring, and sharing of knowledge throughout an organization. Through our partnership with edisconet, we are confident that we can foster a culture of continuous learning and growth. Together, we will transform the way businesses approach learning and development,” says Claudia Bally, Managing Director at focus50plus.
Amongst other things, edisconet is driving the initiative “Silent Knowledge” together with renowned OEMs and service companies, co-hosted by Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, and the University of Florence. The initiative develops efficient training methods for capturing, codification, creation, and sharing of knowledge among employees and subcontractors. Crucial “tacit” knowledge, gained through hands-on experience over decades, is hard to document and share, leading to significant losses when experienced employees leave or retire. This challenge is compounded by the younger generation’s preference for advanced, personalized learning technologies and their tendency to change jobs more frequently. It aims to address these challenges by leveraging AI-supported processes and tools to preserve institutional knowledge and support innovative, largely automated knowledge-gathering, and coaching/learning processes.
“We are thrilled to be chosen as the service partner for focus50plus,” said Dirk Zimanky, CEO and co-founder of edisconet. “This partnership aligns perfectly with our mission to bridge the gap between organizational learning, meaningful individual development, and business success. Together with focus50plus, we can ensure that the rich expertise of the highly experienced employees continues to be a valuable asset for organizations, supporting professional and business growth.”
